Burmese lacquer bowl, Yun design, 12cm.

This mid 20th Century Burmese lacquer bowls feature a beautiful Yun design from Pagan (Bagan). Yok-thei pattern - the design incorporates stylised riding and striding human figures, amongst trees amidst vegetal scrolling. On the base of the bowl is an attractive peacock design.

Condition is very good. Fine quality - still retains flexibility in the lacquer. 

Provenance: the property of an American diplomat, stationed in Asia in the 1950s and 60s.
