This set comprises a hardback volume in slipcase and portfolio of 20 plates bound in a folder.
The book is in fine condition, with just a little sun discoloration to spine. Boards comprise a hand made brown paper over boards with embossed printed calligraphy. Printed label to spine. Beautiful hand made paper endpapers with gold leaf flecks in the paper. Text is printed on a heavyweight hand-made stock, with uncut edges and many pages still uncut. xiii + 424pp.
Slipcase for the book is green paper over boards and is intact, but a little soiled and worn.
The portfolio is made from matching paper over board with three folding flaps inside. Some sun discoloration to outer cover around size of book, but overall condition very good to near fine.
The plates themselves are in fine condition with 20 individual plates in total (a complete set) with handmade tissue guards. Portfolio has one black fabric tie present, the other missing.
A very desirable and hard to find publication.
