Japanese Swords and Weapons, Imaizumi, Samurai book, 1930
By Imaizumi (a teacher). Published 25th June 1930, 1st edition.
Published in Tokyo by Yoshikawa Hirofumi and Nichiyo Shobo.
An interesting and scarce volume on Japanese swords and Samurai craft.
Outer brown card slipcase; some shelfwear and bumping, some splitting to top edge and a number '5' annotation to front, but good condition overall for a slipcase of this age.
The book itself is also in good condition. Blue cloth covers with faded gilt lettering to spine and rubbed gilt motif to front cover. Some mild soiling. Endpapers intact, with some weakening to joints now, but still all bound, with a few pages loosening. Text is in very good condition overall with just mild age wear. Contains many illustrations of Japanese swords and Samurai craft details. All text in Japanese.
7pp intro + Approx 87pp of illustrated plates + approx 300pp of text (with some line illustrations) + 1pp publication details.
Unlikely to ever see another one.
235mm high x 165mm wide 33mm deep.
