The first true edition of this work was published in 1925 by Ernest Benn Ltd. This edition has a new layout, including digitized and separated plates by SDI Publications.

A very important and desirable work.

A large and heavy set. Both books are in as new condition. Unread and still sealed. Photographs of opened books are of a set we sold previously.

Books are hardback in a burgundy simulated leather material with gilt decoration and 2 silk ribbons. 

Volume 1: cxxxv + 69pp + 289 plates (some in pairs). 

Volume 2: 1pp loose Erratum Sheet + 78pp followed by plates 290 - 623 (some in pairs). 

Dimensions: In slipcase, set measures approx. 324mm high x 234mm wide x 87mm deep.
