Enid Blyton's Book of the Year.

Published by Evans Brothers Limited, London. Undated but produced to the "Book Production War Economy Standard" which was introduced in the UK during the Second World War in 1942. Possibly a first edition (or certainly a first printing as a war economy standard), as no other previous printing dates are listed. The orange jacket is a first state jacket.

By Enid Blyton with music by Alec. Rowley and illustrations by Harry Rountree.

A dark orange cloth hardback with gilt lettering. Original dustjacket with minor creasing and bumping. Overall, very good approaching near fine. Very good preservation considering the economic materials used in the production. Owner's inscription to first free endpaper. Otherwise very clean throughout. Some spotting to edges of text block. 352pp. Scarce.

Approximate dimensions: 22cm high x 16cm wide x 3cm deep.
