This 1976 reprint has been specially bound in leather by A W Lumsden of Scotland, and carries a calligraphic presentation inscription from the University of Strathclyde to the Right Honourable George Younger TD, PC, DL, MP, Secretary of State for Scotland, to mark the opening of the Andersonian Library at Strathclyde University. Dated 20th February 1981.

George Younger (1931-2003) was a British politician and banker and was entitled the 4th Viscount Younger of Leckie, Baron Younger of Prestwick. He entered Parliament in 1964 and served as Secretary of State for Scotland for 7 years, in Margaret Thatcher's Government.

Fine condition. Looks unread. Prelims + 282pp. Marbled endpapers and gilt edges. This may well be a totally unique binding just for the presentation.
