Green cloth hardback with gilt titles to spine in fine condition. Rebound in modern cloth with white endpapers. Covers crisp and clean. 'Balbirnie' stamp to tail of spine - previously home of the Balfour family, in Fife, from 1640, until the house was sold in 1969.
Text is bright and clean throughout. No foxing or spotting. Probably an unread set as many pages are still uncut at the top edge, including main title pages. Some minor marks to text block edges. Soundly bound.
