Green cloth hardback with gilt titles to spine in near fine condition. Rebound in modern cloth with white endpapers. Covers are crisp, with the front cover having some light splash marks. 'Balbirnie' stamp to tail of spine - previously home of the Balfour family, in Fife, from 1640, until the house was sold in 1969.

Text is bright and clean throughout. No foxing or spotting. Probably unread as many pages still uncut at top edge.Soundly bound.

A near fine volume.
